Atlantic City has a lot to offer in terms of entertainment. That is one of the reasons it is one of the most popular tourist destinations in New Jersey. By day, you can go shopping or spend the day at the beach, where you can go surfing or perhaps even fishing in certain regions.

The city lights up at night, and you can admire the scenery of the nightlife. Have a drink at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino or see a show at The Borgata.

Hoboken, in Hudson County, is New Jersey’s answer to New York City. The waterfront provides excellent views of the Manhattan skyline, particularly at night.

Not only are the views breathtaking, but so is the cuisine! Hoboken has many excellent restaurants serving cuisine from all over the world. Arthur’s is an individual favorite of mine, providing the great French onion soup and sandwiches I’ve ever had!

If you want to visit New York, the Hoboken Train Station is only a short train ride away.

Delaware Water Gap

For all you nature lovers out there, the Delaware Water Gap is a must-see on your list of places to visit in New Jersey! The Delaware Water Gap is a stretch of the Delaware River in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. It is surrounded by great lush greenery and hiking trails.

While it runs through a large portion of southern New Jersey, the Worthington State Forest Campsite offers some of the best views. You could either camp for the evening or just hike for the day.

South Mountain Reservation

This reservation passes through the towns of West Orange, South Orange, Maplewood, and Millburn. I’ve spent considerable time on the South Mountain Reservation, especially in West Orange.

The lovely picnic areas are my favorite thing about this reservation. I’ve had picnics here many times over the summer. During those picnics, you might see a deer or two, but they’ll be gone as quickly as they came.

There are beautiful hiking trails and waterfalls to experience along the way. This is one of my favorite reservations. Check out all the maps in advance for seeing what you want to do.

Paterson Great Falls

If you enjoy the peaceful feeling that comes with watching a waterfall, you’ll enjoy Paterson Great Falls. It doesn’t get any better than this when it comes to waterfront views. These falls make you almost forget you’re in New Jersey!

Unfortunately, the footbridge so over Falls is closed due to safety concerns. Nevertheless, you can still enjoy the lush trees as well as the scenery of the park.

Do you want to learn much more about Great Falls and Paterson’s history? You can demand a tour for yourself and those trying to travel with you by filling out a form on their website. A ranger will accompany you on your tour of this historical park’s wonders.

Liberty State Park

Liberty State Park is one of the most popular parks in Jersey City, as well as my personal favorite. It’s also very scenic; in fact, I’ve done a photo session here.

The view of the Hudson and the New York City skyline is stunning. The Freedom Tower, which once housed the World Trade Center, now stands tall and proud. Set up a picnic blanket on the grass in front of the Statue of Liberty, which stands tall and proud.

The area is also historically significant and residence to the Empty Sky Memorial. It’s a wonderful place to unwind and do some light sightseeing.

In conclusion

New Jersey has so many wonderful places to visit. To continue making plans for your New Jersey adventure, visit my website to get more information.
